Little Tree Frog Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Little Tree Frog

With the stateliness of nobility you emerge
Dressed in a brilliant robe of neon green
Your delightful appearance screams and shouts
Your are the most stunning frog I have ever seen

Amazingly you cling with your red-orange gloves
Trying to be low key… staying silent from sight
Your shyness is demanding personal privacy
You’d prefer an outing in the darkness of night

Your bulging red eyes have a continuous stare
Suspiciously you look at me as though to say…
What? Don’t you have anything better to do?
With a splash you disappear… much to my dismay
