It was the blackest day there was
Torn flowers scattered all around
Nobody to pick up the petals
For every heart was drowned in woe
What brutality that was
That made innocence a foe
And crushed every smile
Without the least bit of remorse
Though the sun was high
And the sky a soft blue
But it was as black as could be
A blot on the face of humanity
Hard to wash off with tears
A wound that wouldn't heal
A sore to nurse a lifetime
Unimaginable, unheard of
In a history replete with scars
Little angels lying on red floor
Never to rise again
Their wings still on their backs
Never to fly again.
when anger collided with puff powder it will burst like a big bang... so does tears
Torn flowers scattered all around Nobody to pick up the petals For every heart was drowned in woe What brutality that was That made innocence a foe....Brilliantly expreesed. An oustanding piece!
Yes, it was the blakest day of Pakistan's history, What can we do except condemning it.

You have given voice to the voiceless and that's when poetry is at its best. Well done my friend!

Another poignant poem by you, dear Nosheen.. very very good.. Let me tell here about our project against terror.. may I? After the murdering of so many innocent people in Paris, on November 13th,2015, a publishing project came about... I gave it the title: ‘POETRY AGAINST TERROR’, as a tribute to the countless victims of terror, worldwide. I invited many poets, whom poetry can be read at PoemHunter, to join me, so to write an ebook together. Nosheen was among the very first to answer.. The book, which is an anthology of poetry, is a compilation of poems written by 64 poets from 42 different countries from all over the world.
