Living A Lie Poem by Radley So.

Living A Lie

Living a Lie

I am who you think I am
But who am I really?
You speak to me, gently,
I cannot hear you anymore.
I speak out of misery,
I don't know who you are.
Everything for nothing,
I am a shooting star.

Silently, I hear your dreams,
You want what you think
That idea does not exist,
However, I shall not try.
I yearn for your love,
But you cannot be with me.
Fading sunlight draws me,
Closer, chasing, dissapears.

Who are you to play with me?
Could you not hear my plea?
I left my heart out at sea,
And we will never be free.
So can you see why I believe,
this life we live is but a lie.
I am a dream and i'll fade away,
slowly, ebbing, towards a memory.
