Living On The Edge

All or nothing he said to me
I’ll give you love and set you free.
I thought about it for awhile.
I couldn’t resist. He had the face of a doll.
I grabbed his hand and went away.
Now I feel the thrill of living for today.

Together we flew through the sky.
The coming of our souls made us high.
Everything was equal on each side.
The joy of our hearts we could not hide.
We went as fast as we could go.
It felt as if it were zero below.
The coldness was at my breath.
While the enemy of fear found it’s death.

There was nothing we wouldn’t do.
There is more power in the will of two.
The thoughts of our minds saw no limitations.
We finally ruled our creations.
Everything we became was real.
It was each other’s spirit we could feel.

I loved him and he loved me too.
To ourselves we were true.
The fire between us was so cold.
The sweat from our bodies slowly froze.
We went places others wouldn’t dare.
The price we would pay we didn’t care.
Having everything that we desire, only added fuel to the fire.
We did not want anyone else.
We wanted each other for ourselves.

We found ourselves wanting more.
The thrill of having it all was becoming a chore.
We made it to the Edge and I almost fell off.
Soon we both were lost. (continued on next page)

He grabbed my hand as I struggled to keep holding on.
I knew the excitement was gone.
Both of us were so high, the fall was not worth the ride.
Everything came tumbling down.
What was lost was not found.
I was injured and could not touch.
It was all the result of having too much.
Finally realizing the edge is no place we want to go again.
We should have stopped it before it began.
Before learning to fly, remember this quote or you could die.
The

Don’t go near the
