Lizard Eyes Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Lizard Eyes

How large
How large rolled
The lizard eyes
Thus freed from the
Excruciating rays of sun
Now
Sunset too
Had gone
And the red dusk
Climbed fast his reign
With easy feet and
The Night on his car
Already lighted had
First eyes of stars!
