Loneliness Poem by Jenna Rose

Loneliness

He kisses her upon the cheek as she walk out the door
She says she is going out with the girls
But they both know where she is truly going

He retreats to their room
He grabs an old album and starts taking out their wedding photos
One by one he tosses them into the fireplaces
He sits silently on the bed made for two
Alone, Crying

She wraps her arms around another man
He is married like she is
He will never leave his wife
But he gives her enough hope that one day he will
So she keeps coming back

Her husband gets out the blue folder and signs the papers
He packs her suitcases and takes away the spare key from under the mat
He leaves them outside and sits watching from their bedroom window

She comes home and she sees the papers
She knew that he knew
Yet she never stopped to think about her marriage
Attached to the papers is a note

'I refuse to let you ruin my life any longer. You are no longer the same woman that I fell in love with. Don't ever come back here again.'

With that she signed the papers
Looked up at the window and sighed
She grabbed her suitcases and got in her car and drove away

Forever
