Lonely Isle Poem by Rakesh Mondal

Lonely Isle

Upward there is endless blue sky
Downward there is bottomless blue sea
In between I am an alone isle
Some tropical plant, a small cliff
These are my world, I belong to it
Sometimes some birds fly over me
Sometimes some fish swims around me
In the desert like water, long stretched it is
Often salty wind blows like a storm
Reminds me of those long sighs that I have
Sometimes a cloud stops over me
And it pours its pure tear for me
And there are waves, long high waves
Like those memories full of sadness

Upward there is endless blue sky
Downward there is bottomless blue sea
In between I am the alone isle……..

It’s a big city…very big indeed
Lots of people all around me
I am very alone...very very ….still.
