Long Longed I Poem by Norman Coppola

Long Longed I

Rating: 5.0

Long longed I to find you,
And jubilant-joyful was I to
At last, and lastingly have I held you
And sadly-happily have held in mind
Them who yet seek or have lost
Or know not they've already found
Their long longed-for You.

Simple words well twisted in heightened poetic diction to depict the happiness in love found; longing for love sought after; sorrows that come with lost love; and lastly unawareness to the presence of love. A well articulated and nicely encapsulated piece of poetry, insightfully penned with conviction. A lovely poem well crafted. Kudos! Norman. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
