Long Since Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Long Since

Rating: 2.7

Long since
these hands
have bent
North or South.

They lie
by my side
in repose
awaiting a
single kiss
to lighten them
for holding.

Long Since
this heart stirred
to life
enlivened by
a Coming You.

These legs
can carry
my weight
strengthened
by my patience
which
is Long Since
bent
toward
Rainbows
which never end.

I am now
in my
Nothing House
waiting
for my life to begin
and my faith is
that it soon
shall,
and this
time
will
have
Long
Since
Gone.
