Sometimes its hard to see that our past isn't our future
Although we may be in pain but God can take it away
And then we can be set free from all the pain we've stored inside
You can shed tears in the mist of the night
But always remember God is there no matter what
And he's longing to hear your voice

He's waiting with arms wide open
Longing to hold you tight
And longing to shelter you from the storms
Longing to protect and guide you
As long as you believe with all your heart and soul

You've always clung to the world
And dreading to let it go
But you're better off without the weight of the world on your back
Cause God will take care of you
That's why he is here to hold all of us and to share his love
After all he did send his one and only son to die on the cross for all of our sins

So we can repent and be thankful for the rest of our days
If that's not love then what is love
Cause its been around forever and there's still a thousand meanings to love
And hardly anyone gets the true meaning
He's longing to change your life

Longing to give you a spot in heaven
You can go to him just as you are
He will give you all the love you need
He will never reject you unless you reject him
But he is longing to help you he knows everything that goes on
And he is always there and he understands but he is waiting and longing to hear you
