Longings Number 30 Poem by W. Blaine Wheeler

Longings Number 30

Rating: 3.0

Fall down rain for ships far
out to sea
On other tears and thirsty travelers
bound somewhere
To a forever tideless beach.

Fall down rain for stranded spirits
barren
Of a stream to carry them on;
then
Wash away all their many stains.

Weep down rain without stopping
for me
And carry me soon to sands
or
Put me finally out to sea.

Fall down and weep down now
my rain
Of endless love on me for me
and
Bear me home to love from pain.
