Look At Me
Look At Me
See a happy person who loves life?
Do not count the pores or lines to base my age on physical attributes
See a damaged and broken spirit?
Emanates an aura that stands out with a good heart
See a soul tattered in deep despair battered beyond recognition?
Life should learn from me
Look At Me
The energy is not lost but buried attempting to resurface
My aura will glow again
I look at you directly in the eye
Yet I do not shed a tear
From life's hardship experiences thick skin is developed
Yet pitifully you cannot return this direct eye contact with genuine sincerely
Insecurity is what you portray to be proud, flaky, in conjunction, to betray me
Look At Me
I shield and harden my heart from malice people
For what you see cannot be miss, as you have never had me in your life as a genuine friend
Through invisible scars deeply embedded
I break through a smile
Just look deep within, as you shall see!
