Look At The Man Poem by Don Nguyen

Look At The Man

Lord, why it is so hard to affect human mind and heart,
To attribute goodness as their first reactions,
To comprehend the truth in each line than reading between the lines,
To see the human beauty instead of gloomy darkness?
What good is it to assume the worst?
What good for souls to contribute to evil conquest
with your pen without first-hand knowledge?
Judge the man based on his heart, his faithful to God, his compassion to all;
Judge the man on his slow anger, his humility, his contrite heart, his charm, his affect;
Do not judge him on mere speculation,
False accusation or simply self reflection on man.
Why is it so hard, Lord?

Soul, just look at the Cross.
