Looking Glass Poem by Alesia Leach

Looking Glass

'Round and 'round she twirls,
a breeze dancing with her curls,
while soft laughter swirls.

He could see her in the looking glass,
memories of how he saw her last.
Twinkling eyes watching him,
watching her.

'Round and 'round she twirls,
a breeze dancing with her curls,
while soft laughter swirls.

His frozen heart begins to stir,
melting for his looking glass girl.
He longs to dance with her,
to be as they once were.

'Round and 'round she twirls,
a breeze dancing with her curls,
while soft laughter swirls.

Impassioned for the girl in the mirror,
he reaches out on a whim,
yet she is not real and he cannot keep her,
his frozen heart freeze forever.

'Round and 'round she twirls,
a breeze dancing with her curls,
while soft laughter swirls.

You have great imagination. I felt the twirls and swirls of this fantastic dance.

A beautifully conceived song rich in rhyme and rhythm though displaying longings for unfulfilled aspirations /desires. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
