Lord, Please Remember My Tears Poem by Brett White

Lord, Please Remember My Tears

Rating: 5.0

Lord, please remember my tears in judgment.
Let my prayers be sweet incense unto thee;
And my life an acceptable sacrifice as well.
May my repentance be met with total amendment,
Please God, show mercy upon my Soul.
Often I am dissolute and weakened,
Yea, sometimes, I feel totally defeated.
But unto thee alone I turn my prayers,
And You alone, and Thy Holiness,
Consoleth my wounded Spirit.
Lord, I choose to have nothing at all but thee.
And in thee, O Lord, I possesseth the rarest treasure.
Only You alone, O God, have never forsaken me.
So in my prayers today and always, I shall honor thee.

When there is trust in God there is strength. God at each moment saves us. God gives us greatness. A lovely prayer always comes from true heart and soul. This prayer poem brings tear and emotion. This is an outstanding poem very brilliantly penned...10

God is all that matters, my friend. Everything else is superfluous.

As with my fellow poets, the title of this poem caught my attention and led to my reading it. There is nothing more attractive than a man who can call on God in humility, as opposed to an arrogant fool. Please continue writing, Brett!

You guys are awesome, thanks for the kind words. I have found personally that in my darkest hours, only God Alone has sustained and healed me; therefore, I turn not away from doing His Will, which is simply this: being the best person I can be, but the key is this: devoid of hypocrisy. Love you guys
