Lose The Shoes Poem by Ima Ryma

Lose The Shoes

'Here Comes the Bride' does start to play.
Dad and I stand ready to go.
At last it is my wedding day.
And my spirit does feel aglow.
I take a step and I do flinch.
All morning this has bothered me.
My white high heels do sorely pinch.
Uncomfortable I do be.
My soon to be Mom in law bought
These shoes as a gift for me to
Wear this special day, so I'm not
Really certain what I should do.

Wedding decorum I uproot,
And down the aisle I go barefoot.
