Lost Poem by Hazel F. Fields

Lost

Rating: 4.0

I've lost a dear friend today-
Also many loved family, too!
Tears fill my eyes
Because of dear ones lost
Then I remember, anew,
The Holocaust!
And the millions of families
And children, too:
And the mindless, evil man
Who did this without a
Thought!
He is gone now, --Dare I pray?
That he will suffer
For each one lost on those
Sad days; Dare I pray?
I know God in His domain
Sees each act, and judges
Him, Hitler, just the same!
