Lost In The Sky Poem by Maggie Stewart

Lost In The Sky

Rating: 4.0

Falling backward, into the sky
Feathered-winged birds around me fly
Inside the vast deep blue I am swallowed
Into eternity no one has followed
Bolts of lightning shatter my heart
Heart full of sunset, 'till death do us part
Eyes twinkle like stars, so distant and cold
Soft pillow clouds, lined in silver and gold
Let me slip through the atmosphere, into infinity
Wrap me in a thin veil of silent transparency
