Lost In Thought Poem by Patricia Gale

Lost In Thought

Rating: 5.0

I feel the warmth rise
As I stir the burning embers
Feeling you but yet you are…
Far from my vision
But the eyes of my heart see’s

I find I am not alone
Heavenly thoughts have brought you forth
And I am lost in the stars
Floating with the clouds
Far away from all care

I hear the crackling of the wood
I return then…
Slowly becoming lost in red, orange and blue flames as they dance
I become consumed like the burning timbers
Burning with dreams and hopes

The essence of the honeysuckle is carried by the breeze
Straight to the senses that are lost in you
A sigh is released and a shiver courses my soul
A smile rises with the flames
And once more I become lost in thoughts of you
