Lost My Way Poem by Lance Carthen

Lost My Way

Seems Ive lost my way.
In the dark theres no shade.
I turn the other cheek.
See your cold eyes glaring hate at me.

Little boys spirit trapped inside a glass jar.
He feels no feelings, mind has drifter way afar.
There were no smiles, There were no grins.
Happiness nonexistant, Living in sin.

Seems Ive lost my way.
For a locked heart, no hope remains.
I open my souls door.
On the other side you wait with hell in store.

Grabbing a grasshopper.
Pulling off his head.
I wish this was my father.
Gut hanging in death.
Lining up the head.
Number 13 in the row.
I could kill you a million times.
Very easily, very slow.

Seems Ive lost my way.
My reflections not the same.
Young blue eyes full of faith.
A perfect heart cracked with shame.

Tommorows going to be better.
Wiping away tears from his eyes.
Looking up towards the angels.
He lays down and quitely dies.

Seems Ive lost my way.
Forever in vain, alone.
Praying for eternity.
One day I will come home.
