Love is holding someone dear,
Whether or not they're near,
Love is not hanging your life on the shelf,
But a giving of yourself,
Without concern,
About what maybe around the turn,
To love is to care,
To love is to bear,
Another's weight,
No matter the time or date,
To love is to hurt or be in pain,
But only for a day,
For time never heals alone,
But only by love shown.
