Love Poem by Maggie Paige

Love

Love

Love is something that we all starve for something that we all need

Love is the reason that we all want to grow up and the reason that we always want to stay a child

It hurts it heals it kills and it gives life just as surely as it can take life away

Love is all around you if you could just see it but that’s the problem

Most people are blind to it

Love is the reason most people breathe Love is the reason most people die

It can be bright and shining and it can be dark and twisted

Some people are so starved for just a little taste of what love really is that they can’t see Love when it’s right in front of them

The love of a mother father friend lover

You need all of these just to survive to really LIVE

Screw being independent I just want someone to really know me to be there

To pick me up when I fall

I want someone to see me for ME not a shadow of what they want to see me as

Maybe the people I love really do see me as I am

If that’s true then I don’t know who I really am

Hey, people always say the truth hurts

Love heals it hurts it’s almost painfully truthful and it can be the worst betrayal of all

When you love, truly love you won’t have to ask questions you’ll just know

Love

The biggest question of all
