Love Poem by Cristi Lemeni

Love

Love?
What is love?
Some say it's pain,
Others say it's joy,
Some say it's a gain,
Others, it's just a toy.
A toy for the soul, a toy for the mind,
But what's very clear is that it's blind.
It wrecks you up inside,
But it leaves no mark outside.
Is it kind, is it cruel?
Some say, a waste of fuel.
Fuel which we lack
Emotions like an empty sack,
Love is cruel, love is kind,
Love is like a mother to all mankind.
She understands,
Yet she demands,
She punishes weakness,
Yet she finds forgiveness.
So what is love after all?
Is it the mind, body, or the heart of the soul?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's my first poem. I was never really into writing, but I met a really nice girl. Since I know her I felt the need to write, so just let me know what you think... Thanks
