love

When a man takes his boat
to catch a fish
in the middle of a night
with the burden of a smiling wife
staying awake hoping
for him to bring a fish or two
so that their three year old son
could eat something and sleep
an angel in the sky
dies to become a fish
and swims into his net
to die again

If you could love me today
like you would love me tomorrow

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
