As soft as a petal on a spring morn
as calm as jasmine blowing with the breeze.
As subtle as lilies dancing on a pond
as gentle as autumn’s first falling leaves.
As caressing as holding white satin
as simple as a smile in sunlight.
As fulfilling as warmth from within
as wonderful as touch on a winters night.

As tender as the droplets of August rain
as warm as the feel of a baby’s touch.
As powerful as the sound of calling God’s earthly name
as thoughtful as the whispers that mean so much.
As beautiful as stars floating on a stream
as comforting as a song that will never die.
As special as sharing on wholehearted dream
as timely as the words showing all of your life.

As patient as the night waiting for day
as envious as the sun in the sky,
As eternal as the face to whom we pray
as willing as the friend who’ll always try.
As jealous as your heart to its pride
as conscious as the mind to do no wrong.
As kind as the hands by your side
As safe as the place where you’ll always belong.

This is certain,
as we all must know –
that the definition of life is
making your words of love grow.
