Lifes New Leaves Poem by Sebastian Mari

Lifes New Leaves

Rating: 4.5

We are born, find ourselves
question the existence of man
and then we die.
Surely there's more, eternal truth
of the simple strokes of time's tiring hand
of the heavens in the jealous sky.
There are four winds that blow
carrying all the answers to the question we ask.
Shaking the branches of morality
a moment to shade our eyes in our daily task.
Even though we rest for awhile
our minds race through all we've done.
We try all that's easy
for we'll be stronger in the days to come.
Everyday we learn a new fact and gain its knowledge with ease;
so your tree of wisdom grows.
Memories of truth will never be forgotten
the wiser, the greener your life's new leaves;
a darkness clears, showing so many roads.
Yet so much could be learnt so much could never be known.
There is always another outcome, rarely
for good cannot live alone.
Your leaves begin to fall until your better half takes control again.
Feeling bare and vulnerable until you learn to live with your pain.
The eternal truth so I have learnt
is to respect yourself, trust in all you do.
Your tree is your life -
Let it be a honest identity of all that's you.
