Love and War

love and war
the two things
that always come
to the fore
of you mind
when you feel
like all your doing
is walking blind
through space and time

you try to grasp both
but both are out of reach
of understanding
you want to love
but your afraid to be hurt
to see your heart
smashed into the dirt
by the heel of the oppressor
the one who makes
you the number one confessor
of your feelings which
take control
when you have your enemy
in a choke hold
as you slowly watch
the life drain from
thier frantic eyes
then they die
in your arms
now away from all harm


love and war
