Love Bill Poem by Melinda Stovall

Love Bill

To whom it may concern, I just wanted to let you know

That your time is running out, and soon you will be out the door.

The bill collectors are calling and asking you for more

And you would always say what are they calling me for

The rent has not been paid and your love note is way over due

The late fees have all piled up and your checks have not gone through.

Your credit is over the limit and your excuses no longer do

Your Fica score is to small to quote
Your car is being taken because you have not paid the note

Even though you think it all will be okay
Chances of it all being gone could happen any day

I know it might sound odd for me to tell you what you already know

This was just a reminder, that love doesn’t live here any more.

You see not only did you did not pay your bills
To me you did not pay attention

While you were letting things go, you fail to mention

How much I mean to you and how you love me so
Regardless how things may be you were never letting me go

Since I did not know how you truly feel
I just want let you know now I have to file bankruptcy on your love bill
