Love Birds
He strikes many poses
In his ecstatic attempts
Pumps up his chest
And stretches his neck
So warm is my heart
From these gestures
As the gentoo finally
A pebble presents her
Bowing and waiting
She finally accepts
And places the pebble
In their penguin love nest
The most beautiful bird story
And she made his heart sing
So of course when he proposed
There in a pebble lay her ring

Some say it with flowers, some say it with stones.. nice poem T 10
What a great ending it would be Tia - - and thanks for the extra information about this verse - - it is so intriguing - I too love penguins and it was a delight to read 10 + ++ Fay...xx
Fi & Chris - thank you so much. It was inspired by a movie I watched last night called 'Good Luck Chuck' - not a very good film, I actually fell asleep! But the little story she told was so wonderful I just had to google today & see if the penguins really did that. And now I will have to watch the movie again to see if they end it the way I would like; -)
Delightful write Tia..love the images....Fi 10+++
