' ' ' ' ' Love Bug Poem by Dónall Dempsey

' ' ' ' ' Love Bug

Rating: 2.7

Blonde
in blue dress

in the middle of
Venice.

Badly bitten
by mosquitoes.

Doesn’t she know
any better?

It being a scientific
fact

that mosquitoes
prefer blondes to brunettes

& love
the colour blue.

A series of love bites
from shoulder to neck

also indicate
that only lately

she has being bitten
with some degree of passion

by a full grown
male homo sapiens.

...love hurts - was a refrain of a song, i have never thought of love bugs, except probably of some other insects :) , but you worked out the subject very delicately with your sence of humour...
