Love Cab Poem by Kim Aouad

Love Cab

Rating: 5.0

The air I'm breathing seems light
And for once I do not live in fright
I know for one that he loves me
And this might just carry me through the night

I love him a love so deep
Making the skies weep
Making the birds sing
Alongside the beating of my drumming heart

He sleeps with a smile on his face
One I want never replaced
Oh how I ache to plant a kiss
On those lips of sugar and spice

His words make me melt
He makes me feel like I've never felt
His smell makes me yearn
For more than what the bare eyes can see

I want him for my own
I need him to stay close
For even when we've grown
All I'll wish for is those    eyes in which I drown

With him I found closure
I actually am feeling warmer
No more being cold
He is the chauffeur    of the car that is my heart
