Love Conquers All

The Prussian blue clouds and jet black atmosphere
were unable to accommodate Gods love.
Darkness descended on the northern hemisphere
as hate and depression rained down from above.

A change in the wind began, from east to west,
the pace picked up, ferociously tugging at my skin.
Sudden blows pounded at my chest,
A storm was upon me, tangling my emotions within.

The leaves drooped and wilted in the air,
life was coming to an abrupt halt,
almost as if God didn’t even care.
Earth had been restored to default.

My emotions were a wreck.
Hatred on the left,
abhorrence on the right,
and I realised how lonely we are without love.

Then I found it,
in the centre of my heart.
My emotions were split,
completely apart.

Love came through strong,
overcoming all the hate,
overpowering all the wrong,
I was feeling just great.

The Prussian blue clouds parted,
as the horizon was filled with a hue of crimson red,
everything was chilled,
Earth no longer dead.

The love shone through,
like the rays of brilliant sun,
whose golden tinge told something so true-
“Love Conquers All”
