Love In Motion Poem by Patrice Dixon

Love In Motion

Rating: 5.0

We took off so well
Floating above the clouds
No one else in sight
Just me and you around

But our foundations started to shake
To rock back and forth
Your heart became unsteady
Your love for me grew short

Slowly the distance grew
As I dependably reached out
For the touch of your hand
Yet further back you drew

From so high up
The turbulence threw me
Flung me back to earth
When you released your love

Slowly descending
Free falling through emotions
No parachute to save me
Just a broken heart in motion

The ground gets closer
As I look up to the sky
But you turn your back and watch me descend
..you watched our love die
