Love Is Blind Poem by Amanda K. Perkins

Love Is Blind

Rating: 4.5

Young girl real pretty about sixteen
Met this boy one day he only wanted one thing
Chilled for awhile, talked for a minute,
Sweet talking her just to get up in it.
A few weeks later in his house you would find,
Her in his room, lust on his mind.
Puts her stuff on the floor
As he locks up the door.
The sit on the bed
But not one word is said
Slowly get on her and has his way
Laying there confused with nothing to say
When its all over, she gets up in pain
Looks at the bedsheets with the blood stain
Puts on her clothes as he lights a cigarette
Wipes up her tears knowing this she did regret
' I love you, ' she says and looks at him
' You can leave now, ' he turns with a grin
She runs out his house running and crying
So heart broken inside felt like dying
Her wish would come true just 3 years later
Disease found and nothing could save her
Poor girl died at only nineteen
because she had it unsafe with a sex fein
Think you in love but dont know what love means
Life and death, your stuck in between
Love can blind you and tear you apart
You still can feel and listen to your heart
Now this angel sighs and weeps
Flying away while her body rests in peace
Next time just think because this can happen to you...
...R.I.P. to the girl we never knew..

(Not a true story....im just good at what I do..and what I do is poetry)
