Love Is In The Air Poem by Danny Meredith

Love Is In The Air

It is a beautiful day outside
The sun beams are dancing in a waltz
while the heat waves swim around my head.
Life could not be better.
Love has knocked at my dorr and I have answered.
I try to grasp Love firmly, and I try no to let it go.
Somehow, it slips through my palms.
A shadow falls over my heart.
Love is flying away like dust in the wind.
My heart shatters.
Tear drops pour from my eyes like a never-ending waterfall.
Memories fly through my head.
It's like a movie playing in my head, and I can't find the remote to make it stop.
I cry out for Love to return, but it doesn't hear.
It just keeps going and going.
Now, it's gone.
