Love Is Over Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Love Is Over

Rating: 5.0

Sorrowing anguish
brings him down to his knees
promises broken
oh smile that deceives.

The saddest of love songs
torment his tired brain
as the truth of 'goodbye'
echoes again.

Her morals he doubted
from one small remark
carried on a whisper
which kept them apart.

The green leaves of summer
float by in the wind
and the chill of December
makes the heartache begin.
