I remember when you told me
That you and I were through
I thought to myself
What was I going to do?

You said, we were over
The best years had come and gone
You told me it was time
For your heart to move on

All I’ve been doing is crying
Since you said we had to part
Nothing has been right
Since you broke my aching heart

Nothing lasts forever
I know that to be true
But I thought my heart was safe
When it came to loving you

But I’ve learned the hard way
How quick things can change
Since you walked out on me
I don’t want to play loves game

You left me here all alone
Since you walked out the door
I know my heart won’t hurt again
If I don’t fall in love no more
