Love’s More Than A Word

We all in chains were tightly bound
As slaves to sin and shame
Banned from entering holy ground
And cursed to endless flame

Yet through Christ’s blood we’re saved and loose
Through Jesus’ stripes we’re healed
But untried faith’s of little use
If God to place life’s Seal

Its through The Truth we come alive
In strength to walk the land
Yet Jesus’ pledge to rise and thrive
We need to understand

Obedience leads to Heaven’s shore
Through faith we’ve eyes to see
Prayer will guide to our Father’s door
Where love’s the only key

Yet love’s far more than just a word
Once Christ has come inside
We need to practice truth we’ve heard
For God to open wide

Knowing our heart our soul and mind
Knowing each secret thought
Though man may say that love is blind
God sees our true report

For every deed we must account
Where only truth can reign
Where none may scale God’s sacred mount
With wrinkle spot or stain

The option stands the time is now
Before we reach that place
We must repent, our knees must bow
And plead through Christ for grace
