Lovely Frenchies Poem by Dean Meredith

Lovely Frenchies

I love your bits
Pernod, mustard
Vincent, Rimbaud
Modigliani, Madigliani
Your cafes, your brothels
Your arrogance, your Brandy
Your pastries, your cheese
I do not know your wines
But one day hope to
I do not know your whores
But one night hope to
I do not know your burn
But hope to add to it
Paris, I want to position you
Paris, I want to proposition you
I want your knockback to be chivalrous
And I want your acceptance to be unexpected
I want you with your dirt and charm
I want you not wearing knickers
I want you under a long dress
I want you beneath the Eiffel Tower
Thinking of Vincent's stars
Of Rimbaud's leaves watching us
And of Modi, having a toke with us
Oh Paris, I hope to be there soon
