When heartfelt praises rise on high
When prayers touch Jesus’ heart
Sincerity draws Heaven nigh
And love sees needs depart
When from life’s storms we find no peace
When shadows veil our goal
Honouring God brings swift release
And healing to our soul
When wars grow fierce when hell runs wild
When strength seeps down life’s drain
Confession from a lowly child
Will rid of spot and stain
Though sin and shame turn hearts to stone
When souls to Jesus cry
The Lord who’s God on Heaven’s throne
Won’t wait and wonder why
His love burns bright for every child
Who humbly seeks His face
Who wish that they be reconciled
To God’s eternal grace
When loving God and those we see
All neighbours near and far
Will love not lift our spirits free?
Towards The Morning Star
Love is the key to Heaven’s door
To places no one’s been
To peace and joy forever more
To treasures yet unseen
Love melts the hardest heart of stone
Love is the soul of life
And patient on His glory throne
Love’s waiting for His wife
