Loyal Friends Poem by John Davidson

What is friends who always have your back,
and help you to make up for the things that you lack.
From speed to strength, and height to weight,
they can help you to avoid or confront your fate.
Meeting them in school or a trusted place,
or calling them on the phone in a big race.
They make you laugh and cause you to grin,
but without them in your life you will feel all sad again.
Loyalty is so hard to find,
but with a friend close by you will know there is piece of mind.
