Lulled By Persistent Rhythm Poem by Anita Atina

Lulled By Persistent Rhythm

Just the usual mush of life

Nothing dramatic or life threatening

Tomorrow will dawn, like yesterday

As day follows night

Lulled by persistent rhythm

The light feels faint

Its warmth flutters in a strange wind

Cup the flame with your hands

It has taken a lifetime to alight

Its too precious, to go out now
