~mó Líom~ Poem by Brandy Avery

~mó Líom~

I try to wash away the pain and sorrow. No matter what I do it comes back tomorrow. I look for my way out, but I am surrounded by dout. I still drowned in my tears, to break free would take too many years. Chained to the darkness of my mind. Relief and comfort I cannot find. All I want in life is someone to hold thee. Tell me it's ok and help me see. Someone to share life's winding road with. To kiss me softly when I am sad. My dreams I think will never be real. There has been damage done that cannot be fixed. I need your strength, my loves grown cold like my skin. I am begging for you to caress. Fight the evils at my side with my hand in your grasp. As I sit awake at night and pray, there will be a day when he will hold me close. Until that day my heart beats still and trapped in ice, until they day you come and melt it away. And take that walk by my side. Till we meet again at the great gates of pearl. You love will give me light through the darkness of winter. He rain from the spring showers. The drought of summers heat, and even the death of the fall. With our love and together we can make it through it all.
