Mad for You
Why do I fear to come out
In to the star spangled night
Why does the resplendent moon
Make me shiver out of fright
Why does the shade of gulmohar
Make me recede to my musty room
Why does rustling of fronds
Always foretell about my early doom
Why does loneliness grope for me?
In the thickness of maddening crowd
Why does all the glittering apparels
Seem to me sheets of blackened shroud
Why does the dancing brook
Sing in the dale my final prayer
Why do flowers loss their fragrance
And the sun seems to have lost its glare
Why do a cup of water comes down
My throat as a draught of bitter hemlock
Why do squirrels run away from me
And stand at a distance to wag tails and mock
Its all for you who went away
When our love was beginning to bloom
I don't know how you took the lost love
But I count my days in loneliness and gloom

Very nice. The pensive mood along with the tune of loneliness has filled the yard of this poem.Sometimes, lost love rings so sweetly!
