Mad Mirrors - Part C (47) Poem by Raquel Angel Nagler

Mad Mirrors - Part C (47)

UNTITLED
QUOTE: 'I killed a woman in me I didn't love...her speech was hardened, quick as pitch' - G. Mistral

That was a woman inside me
I didn't love.
She had no rain in her fingers.
I didn't have to kill her. No.
The years came,
With tears in their hands,
They softened her touch.

UNTITLED
QUOTE: 'We fight with the strength of memory' - G. Mistral

We fight death
With the strength of what has died:
The past.

UNTITLED
QUOTE: 'The happiness of a multicolored tapestry' - G. Mistral

A tapestry embroidered with smiles.
Maybe happiness, like tears,
Is contagious.
It seeps into our hours.
