Madison Jones (Samantha's Lament) Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Madison Jones (Samantha's Lament)

Once my breath reaches the horizon
Amongst the frost covered clouds
I hope to see you there
As we become the pilars that softly keep them afloat
As my finger traces the clouds that make up your face
As freely as the sun becomes the warmth of your hand
As freely as the wind becomes the lips thats pressed from yours to mine
Igniting the cryptic fires
That excite the reasons I smile
The reasons I breathe
The reasons I taste
Encased inside this glass globe that snows
Whenever the cosmos rapture your name against dawns break
