Madison Poem by Bekki Lee

Madison

For me, there has always been someone there,
To lend a hand, to show they care.
You were always there for me,
Telling me it was okay, letting me see.
Life is hard, but it is the same for everyone,
I wish you could have known that before life was done.
I know things were hard, but we could have made it through,
But now I have to sit here without you.
Wondering what tomorrow will bring,
Wishing one last time to hear you sing.
But these happy times are gone,
Because to you, life was wrong.
You made mistakes that everyone does,
But you gave up, just because.
To your wrist, you took a blade,
When you were gone, the blood was repaid.
And yet, you're still here,
Not in body, but in my heart for me to hear.
I pray for you, I hope you listen,
My best friend, my dear Madison.

*To my best friend, Madison, I miss you*
