You feel like life has failed you
treated you like a dog and tore you apart.
Love, you can't even mention it,
for it caused you a bleeding heart.
Did I not tell you that hurting yourself wasn't the answer,
especially with the crazy partying, alcohol and drugs?
Now I don't know what to say
as you're laying at the hospital wanting to pull the plug.
You remind me that I was the one who brought you happiness
through your sad, lonely, dark times,
But how could I be so blind that
meanwhile you were preparing for all these crimes?
Where did I go wrong,
where did all the joy I brought you go?
Now you're making me worry for your safety,
and if I soon gotta wrap your coffin with a bow.
Bring me back the optimistic, aspiring young man that I once fell for,
and please don't return to your old ways anymore.
