Make Sure They Are Loved Poem by Kathryn Garner

Make Sure They Are Loved

when you leave me breathless
with your endless voice
as i lie here restless
alone, from that choice
i still feel your heart beat
moving so close to me
but here we can always meet
here you can always meet me

i know its so cold out there
but i turn on visions
i learn not to care
about the life that im really living
i know i dont care
im just wishing for a crowd
to take the cross that i bare
hear the screams so loud

i can hear in my dreams
i feel all the words
i remember every scream
i remember every hurt
i can kill all the pain
with the lies in my head
but life aint the same
when your life is all dead

i can lie to my heart
fake myself to death
though my worlds all apart
i know its for the best
i can lie to my life
fake myself to death
cut truth with a knife
memory leaves me breathless

so when your raising the lives
of your own deep blood
make sure they dont cry
make sure they are loved
dont let them be filled
with so much mistakes
dont let their lives be instilled
with only heartbreaks
