Mama Poem by Rachel Ten

Mama

Rating: 4.0

The kids are fed,
Mama puts them to bed.
Baby cries at half past Eight,
Daddy's comin' home late.
In the morning the sun will rise,
Mama wakes alone and cries.
Get the children ready to go,
'Is Daddy home? ', Mama says no.
Alone again, Daddy shows,
deep inside Mama knows.
Mama asks questions and sighs,
Daddy shakes his head and lies.
Mama begs for the truth,
No need, Daddy reeks of proof.
